Why would there be a global handwashing day?

To celebrate our cleanliness!

What purpose would it have?

It shows us that washing our hands is important and we should be doing it more often, it will keep us healthier.

Handwashing is when you have dirty hands, or maybe you just feel like being clean, but anyway it is when you use a soap or something like that to clean your hands under water, by rubbing them together! Or you can get hand washes where you don’t need water, they just dry on your hands. And usually it’s in a sink or some sort of basin.
